Get started – Pilates 101
In this class we take the time to go through the basics of Pilates from working on the breath to exploring the fundamental movements of the method. We will explain some of the simple instructions used in class so you can begin to build your Pilates vocabulary with a sound level of understanding. This class is designed for those who are experiencing Pilates for the first time or for those who are getting back into it after a long break and might need a quick refresh. You’ll leave a little stronger and more aligned, equipped with the knowledge to decide if our Pilates based movement practise is right for you.
Beginners to Intermediate
Align and Balance
This class enables you to build on your Pilates foundations with the introduction of a more challenging movement repertoire. You can start to explore your alignment, coordination and form and feel the difference as you work to further develop your balance, stability and control. We combine strength and conditioning with mobility and stretching to create a beautifully balanced full body workout. With appropriate modifications, this class is ideal for beginners to intermediate fitness levels. Be prepared to be challenged by the fundamentals as you develop an enhanced overall body awareness.
Intermediate to Advanced
Strength & Control
Take your Pilates to the next level. With a focus on control, you’ll work your way through a whole-body strength and conditioning movement sequence. Exploring some of the more advanced exercises in the repertoire, be prepared to challenge your strength, stability, and control in ways that will elevate your practise. You’ll be energised and ready to take on the everyday in this fun, dynamic class with creative and well-paced transitions. Recommended for healthy, injury free individuals familiar with Pilates.
Release & Restore
Experience the benefits of this signature restorative class. Release and Restore, involves gentle movement together with myofascial release and deep stretching to leave you feeling long, loose, and ready to take on whatever the day brings. A regular Release and Restore practise will help relieve tight, fatigued muscles, improve range of motion at the joints, decrease risk of injury, and increase blood flow to your muscles. It’s the Pilates massage that just keeps on giving long after class!
